Shelter

Shelter is the beginning
Nurture in the womb  Cloaked for the tomb
Shelter is the beginning

Roots in the soil
Leaves leave shelter for food
Then return Home spent

Buildings to house us
Too large to give us shelter
When will we return

Trees give us shelter
We accept the offering
Cutting them down

Wind and Rain and Cold
Wood in the wall Wood in the hearth
Hunger Hurt and Fear

Bodies are shelter
For a time the soul rests
When will we return
