A homestead is more than just buildings and land.

It is family. It is community. It is legacy.

Like those before us, we have an obligation to prepare for the next generation. More than ever, we have the responsibilty to do so in way that ensures survival on a changing planet. That means adapting ancient knowledge with modern technology. That means applying skill and effort to the greater good and not for excess profit. That means challenging ourselves to change and grow.

This is a blog about building a homestead.

Not only for the nurture of our own children, but to contribute to the nurture of a human condition faced with an uncertain future.
